We take a look at our tasks decide which are enjoyable and which are mundane. We rank them and ration where our energy is most utilized, and in this process we postpone some goal or action. We procrastinate.
When we get stuck in a procrastination rut it could be because we have taken that task, ranked it mundane, and prioritized our energy elsewhere. Or perhaps we have an overwhelming feeling towards the task at hand. A feeling that the task to too big or too great for us to really be able to tackle it. Either way, procrastination will inevitably affect your goals and achievements. This may not be apparent initially, but as time passes and procrastination continues, your goals become farther.
If we put our goal low on our daily activities we are doing ourselves a disservice. We disconnect from the goal and we tether in and out of ability to achieve it. This is where the frustration begins, where commitment seems out of reach. We may even act on this subconsciously and it is a good sign if you can identify that you are procrastinating. By identifying it you can simply get back on track.
Surround yourself with your goal. Think about how possible it is and feel the feeling of achievement. Conceive your method and steps to the finish line, read about other success stories of your goal. Make sure your goal is vivid and active in your mind and that excitement will be more than enough to achieve it. Small steps towards your goal will inevitably result in your success.
